Pia Kintrup
Eine Transformation des Materials eröffnet eine neue Sicht auf die Dinge, das Offensichtliche wird durch einen »Mangel« in der gegebenen Form, in seiner Wirkung verstärkt.
Pia Kintrup schloss ihr Studium an der Folkwang Universität der Künste mit einem Bachelor of Arts im Fach Fotografie ab. Anschließend studierte sie an derselben Universität den Masterstudiengang Fotografie und Praxis, den sie 2017 mit dem MA of Photography Studies and Practice abschloss.
Pia Kintrups Forschung beschäftigt sich mit neuen Medien und Materialien, die von der Fotografie bis zur Skulptur reichen. Sie wurde mit dem 13. Internationalen Arte Laguna Preis 2019, dem Sonderpreis des „Photolux Festivals“ in Venedig, Italien, und dem Excellence Award 2019, International Artist Award der Art Next Expo in Hong Kong, ausgezeichnet. Sie hat zahlreiche Ausstellungen in ganz Europa und auch einige in Asien, Kanada und den USA durchgeführt.
Ich interessiere mich für die Fotografie als Medium, was sie ist und was sie werden könnte. meine Forschung beschäftigt sich mit neuen Medien und Materialien, von der Fotografie bis zur Skulptur. Transformationsprozesse, Wert, Leere und Fülle und fotografische Schritte des Übergangs sind wesentlich für meine künstlerische Arbeit.
